Note that the addresses end with za.org and not org.za. As GIFAA is a non-profit organisation a decision was taken to use a free domain registrar, reason for za.org.
The GIFAA is an affiliate of SANIFAA (The South African National Indoor & Field Archery Association). The GIFAA acts as one of the ten(10) provincial bodies in SANIFAA. Gauteng Archers who wish to become a member of SANIFAA have to join an affiliated club of GIFAA else they will not be able to qualify for Provincial and National colours.
GIFAA organizes and moderates competitions in both Indoor and Field archery disciplines on provincial level through its affiliated clubs in the province and keeps record of archers’ achievements in said events.
There are 4 official GIFAA sanctioned competitions per year as prescribed by SANIFAA:

The GIFAA is responsible for awarding provincial colours to archers in the province according to the criteria prescribed by SANIFAA.
GIFAA is passionate about the sport of Archery and strive to promote the growth of Field and Indoor archery in Gauteng with the support of SANIFAA and Gauteng amateur archers. We encourage the participation of all our affiliated archers at GIFAA official competitions, irrespective of how well they can shoot.
